So far, so good. I was introduced to everyone in the area almost immediately (they're friendly). They had my desk waiting, with all of my computer log ins ready (they're prepared). It seems like it's a very low stress environment, even though the work is relatively constant. I'm looking forward to getting settled in, learning all I can, and being a part of it all.
I had lunch away from the office, and I sat by myself, reading and running lines for the play. I walked back to the office, signed some paperwork, and continued my learning. It was a lot of reading, but it's starting to make sense.
It seemed strange to get home while the sun was still up, but it was great to be waiting here when Steph and Colin walked in the door. Later, while we were on our way to dinner, he was in the back seat, saying "Happy" about ten or twelve times. I'm pretty sure he understands the meaning, as he doesn't say it often. I rationalized it later by telling Steph, "He had Mommy. He had Daddy. He had pillow. He had all of his favorite things". So, he probably was pretty happy. I was too.
We had dinner out, and then came home. I'm pretty tired now, as evidenced by how many words I've misspelled, and had corrected by the program. Be thankful, as this would be an undecipherable mess otherwise.
We are off to Destin tomorrow, and we're looking forward to it. It's always nice to get away, but it's always nice to come back. Even if a 93 page script is waiting.
