We're Back

It was a very good trip. We found some good deals, including a TV for Colin's room for $9.99. That's not a typo. It is a small, standard definition TV, that will be good for the videos he enjoys. Steph and I found mostly clothes, save for a set of cushions for the chairs on the back porch.
Colin was highly complimented by many complete strangers. There's a restaurant named Callahan's that we go to every time we're in town, and while there, Colin asked for "Birdies", which means he wants to play Angry Birds. Steph pulled her Kindle from her purse, and he played the game while we waited for the food. A table with two older couples ended up watching him, and later asked "How old is our little computer whiz?", later adding "He's so handsome". He was even complimented by a woman at the outlet mall, who said "He's adorable" as we walked by.
My only complaint of the trip is that the words "Outlet Mall" no longer means "Outlet Prices". That was actually a bit of a disappointment. I eventually found some things that I felt were worth getting, but many times I walked away saying, "I could buy that for just as much or cheaper at home".
It was a very good trip. I kept reminding myself of what I would be doing if I still had my old job. We certainly wouldn't have been out of town. We're going to stay in town next weekend, and work on some projects around the house, mainly the coping around the pool. Tomorrow, we'll just take it easy around the house, and let Colin run and play here, rather than be trapped in his car seat. I have to study lines in the afternoon, and I've set aside pretty much all of my free time for it.
The picture is from this afternoon, where Colin kept stealing the whipped cream from the top of Steph's frozen drink.
